Aan het einde van dit jaar of begin volgend jaar hoopt dr. Charlie Obihara (kinderarts-kinderinfectioloog/immunoloog, ETZ, Tilburg) online te kunnen gaan met zijn geesteskind Medifoor. Medifoor, dat wordt gesponsord door diverse fondsen, geeft uitleg over ziektebeelden door middel van zogeheten ‘mediforen’ (medische metaforen). Door middel van illustraties vertellen de mediforen wat er in het lichaam gebeurt bij een bepaalde aandoening, zoals een longontsteking. Op die manier willen Obihara en de rest van het team achter Medifoor de communicatie tussen arts en patiënt verbeteren.
