Op 19 juni 2018 promoveerden Bastiaan Wittekamp en Nienke Plantinga aan de Universiteit Utrecht op hun proefschriften getiteld ‘Decontamination strategies in ICU: a European perspective’ en ‘Decontamination strategies in European intensive care units’. Het onderzoek werd verricht onder supervisie van promotor prof. dr. M.J.M. Bonten. In dit artikel worden de belangrijkste bevindingen besproken.
