Op 17 november 2022 promoveerde Ramon van der Zee aan de Universiteit van Amsterdam op zijn proefschrift getiteld ‘Anal intraepithelial neoplasia in HIV+ men: epidemiology, cancer risk stratification and prevention of recurrences’. Het onderzoek werd verricht onder supervisie van promotoren prof. dr. J.M. Prins en prof. dr. R.D.M. Steenbergen, en copromotoren prof. dr. H.J.C. de Vries en dr. O. Richel. In dit artikel worden de belangrijkste bevindingen besproken.
