Op 15 juni 2018 promoveerde Dorith Claushuis cum laude aan de Universiteit van Amsterdam op het proefschrift getiteld ‘The role of platelets in sepsis’. Het onderzoek werd verricht onder leiding van promotor prof. dr. T. van der Poll (afdeling Infectieziekten en Center for Experimental and Molecular Medicine, AMC) en copromotoren dr. C. van ’t Veer en dr. A.F. de Vos (Center for Experimental and Molecular Medicine, AMC). In dit artikel worden de belangrijkste bevindingen besproken.
